I just wanna say, i totally enjoyed my CNY. :D
This is the year where i went to most places during CNY.
Place 1 - River HongBao
It's pretty nice. There are SO MANY food stalls ard. Though the supposedly 'si chuan mei shi' isn't that si chuan. It's just some pathetic S'pore resturant selling si chuan dishes there. But the rest of the 'pasat malem' style stalls there sold wonderful food! I like the thai chendol. They have this colourful worm-shaped jelly thing they is super Q and sweet. YUM! And i had a taiwanese sasuage which is hot gleaming with delicious oil .
You shld see the no. of kiasu ppl in front of the Cai Shen Ye. They are holding umbrellas and running with the wind. It was damn comical. hahahaha. Once the wind blows right, thy move to the right. Once the wind blows left, they scrambled to the left. But in the end, the wind blew the golden pieces of luck right back at the statue. Which ulitmately landed at the base the cai shen. SO no one gotten anything. So much for all the running ard.
Hahahaha. But the BEST part of the day, is still the fireworks! YEAH! Beautiful! We took a pretty clear video of it. Thank goodness all the videos are still in the cam.
Place 2 - Sentosa Flowers 2006
I was damn pissed off that afternoon lor. VON SAO FANG4 WO3 GE1 ZI3! And it was pouring in the morning. Me being me, i insisted on going. As it turned out, Heaven does has eyes. :D Hee Hee Hee. It wasn't raining anymore when i reached. It wasn't damn sunny either. The weather was just perfect. Nice and windy. (Thanks WL and YR for accompanying me. Hahaha) I am glad i went. The flowers are BREATH TAKING! It's just seas and seas and seas of flowers. All blooming and smiling. :)
Pace 3 - Chingay
This is the evening of the same day i visited sentosa. Me being me, I enjoyed the night despite VON SAO FANG4-ING WO3 GE1 Zi3 in the afternoon. ( i think this sentence sounds so structurally wrong, but.. oh well.) But the spot we had was pretty bad. We could only see in btw the butts and thighs of the camera crew. Sheesh. But whatever the case, it was still pretty nice. It was scarily crowded after the performance. Whilst walking to somerset mrt, we passed by 'the balcony', which we all thought was pretty cool. I know very well, that one day, we will be sitting there, enjoying the view.
My neck is breaking fm all the typing.
WORK WORK WORK!
Tuesday, February 14, 2006 9:31 AM
Work has officially begun. I am like go work, go home, eat, sleep. Go work, go home, eat, sleep. . .
And the saddest part is . . . My COMPUTER CRASHED! I don't think it is called 'crashed'. It's more like, the programs are in conflict with each other.. and the windows decided to end it all by commiting suicide. So, bye bye to all my photos. :( My memories. :( The haebi's birthday pictures, the shooting club pictures, the new year's eve fireworks pictures, the cat's pictures. I WANNA CRY! Even the modem seemed to be killed. Can't be connected to the internet.
And, the pay is pretty little. And, i HAVEN"T gotten the goddam pay slip yet. I am going to call the PERSONNEL department now.
T18 ROCKs ASSes!

Yeah!!!! What a sohpisticated dinner! It's really the high class kinda dinner the boss treated us to today. Let's see:
1) 捞鱼生 (Super Yummy! They have salmon and one other kind of white colour fish. I LOVE IT!)
2)红烧鲍翅 (Quite Yummy! They added some herbs which i didn't really adore.)
3)北京烤鸭 (They come in 3 dishes. the first one's the cripsy golden skin of the duck. It's wrapped in egg skin fried to perfection. That is simply heavenly. Hmmmm. The second one's the duck's drum stick. It was pretty fragrant, but slightly oily. The last one's the duck's breast meat choppped into small pieces, served with lettuce. According to my boos, u are suppose to fill the lettuce with duck meat and eat it like kong4 ba4 bao1 style. By then all of us were already too full to finish it. >.<)
4)香脆炸鱼 (Super Duper Yummy! My gosh! this is my fav. The fish's crispy on the outside, smooth in the inside. Topped with the special marmanade sauce.. hmm, it's perfect.)
6)软壳蟹 & Prawn with wasabi sauce (Super Duper Yummy! Gosh, the prawn make my taste buds dance with joy. It's so fresh and sweet! The wasabi sauce.. there's only one word to describe it - SHOIK. The soft shell crab was a bit blend for me though. But it is those kinda branded dishes i nv tasted in my whole life before. >.<)
5)砂锅饭 ( OK Yummy! Boss said he LOVE the sha bo fan here. But again, it's a bit too blend for me. And the 腊味 was kinda charred... especially my fav.. the duck liver 腊肠!)
6)马蹄糕 & 年糕 (OK Yummy. I thought the nian gao1 tasted unlike nian2 gao1. It's so not sweet lei.)
7)汤圆 (Quite Yummy! I LOVE the soup! Hahaha. They said it was too sweet, but just nice, i got a sweet tooth! :P)
Yous should have been there. It's was quite funny. All the girls seniors are actually quite cute. I realised they joked and talk like us even though they are like.. 30+. And Surprise Surprise! Boss's also a rabbit, which makes him 24 years older than me! Hahaha! I like the boss. He's westernized yet a serious buddhist. Wow, i can't believe he believes in predictions according to zodiac.!! :O
We took cab home, even though the resturant is only at Thomson Plaza. Gosh, do the girls earn a lot or what? O_o. We waited quite long for the cab. But it was worth the wait. They joked like nobody's business, the managers and all. There's no status difference btw them after work. :D
Oh, did i mentioned that Boss brought 4 bottles of red wines produced in auzzie? It was more sour than the cheap 20 bucks per bottle wine i drink. Other than that, i can't really tell the difference btwn my 20 bucks wine and 90 bucks wine. Either way, i don't fancy red wine. But i have to admit the wine actually tasted GREAT with the fish and it's sauce. :D Oh, and did i mentioned that Boss has great knowledge abt wine and wine tasting?

This is an interesting theory from the horse's mouth:
In the ARMY,
you should either be at the top, or at the bottom.
Top, you screw people.
Bottom, you slack or chiong, they will still screw you, so at least you can slack all the way.
Middle, you are just screwed - You have to keep choinging.
Hahaha

Sometimes i don't understand why i am so BLUR. Hai~.
The New Year Episodes
9:36 AM
It's CHINESE NEW YEAR! Man, i L-O-V-E the new year decorations on the streets. :D Makes me feel New Year-iee even if i wasn't originally.
I am not really fascinated by the New Year goodies. I am fascinated by the festive mood. Everyone's so excited and busy. The stall owners have blooming businesses ( erm, not all i guess ). The streets' filled with new year songs.
New Year's eve was alright. My gu1 gu1 came for steam boat dinner. She gave me a more than expected ang bao ( dun extort me lao yan ). The dinner was alright. My mom cooked shark fin.. but it didn't taste like that of the resturant (which the person who sold my mom the fins promised). It was only until 2 days later that she realised she forgot one ingredient - the all time famous Hua1 Diao1 Jiu3. -_-. hahaha.
Chu1 Yi1 was ok too. Listened to my dad's uncle.. which will make him my grand-uncle, tell stories fm their past. It was pretty interesting. Too bad i can't understand fully what he said. Or else the story would be fantastic! I hope i can hear more of them. As we grow old, they age too.... May they always be healthy.
In the evenings, we visited River Ang Bao. I didn't know so many of my friends don't know what that is. Anyway, River Ang Bao is this New Year funfair where there are performances by overseas groups , food ( the si chuan one is not tt great, the pasa malem kinda food is much better ... and cheaper ) and stalls ( handicrafts and games ). But the best part of it all is the fireworks. Beautiful. Splendid. Captivating. (though the one i saw at marina hotel's big balcony like open space during national day is the best. It's like stars falling on ur head. :) )
Chu1 Er4. Went to my cousin's place. The exterior looks like a condominium lar. Damn nice. The interior... Hahaha, the rooms are practicallyh empty. Not that they needed it to be filled anway. That new hse is more like their hotel than home.. for NOW. We had steam boat for dinner again. Kinda sick of steamboat. I don't really enjoy getting my face steamed by the vapours. +_+. And being risk takers (=gamblers), we (=the kids cousins) started our own black jack gambling dents. hahaha, i earned 80 cents. Not bad eh. ;)
Chu1 San1 is a slacker day. I slept til 10. and went market for breakfast. Practically all the shops are closed. Nothing much to see. After that i visited my Da4 Yi2 and surprise surprise... Iwent sentosa with my mom in the evenings. Hahaha actually we wanted to see the Sentosa Flowers 2006. But i guess we were stupid enough to go in the evening.. near night. >.< The musical fountain was scary. the show starts at 8.40, the seats were already full by 8.00. As in, ppl started queueing, and fm the queue, it is estimated that the seats are fulled, so they closed the queue for 7.40 show. Gosh. -_-
Today's going back day to the office again. Sian. Am frezzing to death again.
