Realisation

The thought of withdrawing from school has never once flashed across my mind. School, is like this complusory road I have to take by hook or by crook. It's like a pre-destined journey carved in my life. School, is just... school.
Teng Teng broke this circle. She opted for the other path, the path tt is left camouflaged for a lot of us - to withdraw.
We say that it's a waste. Not everyone has the chance to study in uni. We guranteed her that she will be able to cope, that we are all as blur about the syllabus as she is.
Yes. It was a waste. But if studying is not her path, she should go find another. Bill Gates was a university drop out, Sheng Wang Fu didn't attend universities. But both of them are doing well ... very well. Though we know very well that there is only 1 Gates, and 1 Sheng, it shows that there are still possibilities in this market.
I guess my biggest realisation is : schooling has always been my comfort zone. The path taken by a typical S'porean kid - kindergarden -> Pri sch -> Sec sch -> JC -> University, has always been my comfort path.
Reality check. This is NOT the only way to grow up. Get real baby. There are 1 million and 1 jobs in the market. I sure hope I won't be taking the boring ones.
