Due to a streak of luck, I have been running into stars in school lately.
Last Sat, I saw Zhi Qiang (U 游客) on the train heading towards Boon Lay. I was sitting diagonally from him... and I was like.. kept looking at him. Hahas, he looked smaller than he seems on tv. And... he looks pretty cute. :P WooHoo.
Then just today, I saw 小绿豆 (don't know what's his name) in NBS's reading room. He is also smaller than what we see on the screen. He was studying with a group of girls who looked very guai. And I was a little surprised. Thought people in the entertainment field mix around with those hip friends. :P
And ... I added Hao Ge on face book! Yeah! His display picture in facebook is the one with him wearing the sunglasses!! OMG. Dashing. But you know what.. he sux... All the pictures on his facebook's those taken with the Korean and Japanese peeps from the July Summer Program one lar. Urrgghhh. So sad.....! :(Labels: School

My cousin together with her husband and kids are moving back to Australia.
And so, we had a farewell gathering today.
It's like, I never really felt anything when she first went to to Austrialia years back. But after she came back and brought all her lovely kids along.... and had some great fun together... I know I'll miss them.
I think she's a really wonderful mom. Her kids are like.... so caring and responsible. Like today, her daughter's bead necklace broke, and she was sitting there patiently stringing it back. And I asked her, 'So u bought this necklace?'
She said, 'No, my mom made it for me as a surprise. And I broke it... that's why I am fixing it now ...Can't let her know or she'll be disappointed.'
I was like... stunned for a few seconds.
I could never imagine something like that coming out of a 5 -years-old girl's mouth. U can really feel the spirit of love oozing out from this family. And when you see them take the family picture... it's like... gosh.... this is what a family should be. Picture perfect. My cousin is really 了不起, as a mother, a wife, a women.
I'll miss them. Hoping to see their 4th child soon. :) Wish them all the best.Labels: thoughts

I, am really hungry.
It's really a bad idea for mediacorp to show their food variety shows at 2.30am in the morning.
Rarrr. How can I ever succeed in my weight lost plan if things continue like that? :O

It's A-MAAAAA-ZING!
It actually did not rain today. As I told Gun Gun, her good luck overshines my bad luck today. :D
So, both of us bravely took bus no. 166 from amk to MacRitchie Reservior. Splendid weather. My oh my.. this familar scenery. The good old Cedar days. Cross Country anyone?

The famous MacRitchie Reservior 'bridge'
Then I saw this thing swimming inside the reservior. And I was like, 'OMG GUN!! There's a crocodile in the reservior! There's a crocodile in the reservior!' Then Gun was like, 'Relax lar. It's normal to see such things in reservior what.' (Eh... is it really normal to see crocodiles in reservior? It's darn dangerous sia). On closer inspection, we realised it's NOT a croc, but a komodo dragon look-ed alike thing la. Chey.

A croco.... not la. Komodo dragon only la. Cheyyyy.
As both of us are not street smart AT ALL, we took some time before finding the correct and the nearest way to get to the tree top trail. Actually Gun said that they took 5 hours to reach and return the last time they visted tree top trail. I didn't give it much thought. I was thinking to myself, they must be walking DAMN slowly la.
And so we started our trek. And we saw nice sceneries along the way.

Looks like the S'pore version of East Lake. Actually S'pore has got nice sceneries too la!

OMG. Looks like the 5 colours lake at JiuZaiGou. 'Cept that there's only 2 colours - green and yellow. Hahas.

I think 孙悟空 shifted his 水帘洞 to MacRitchie.

And of course, not forgeting to cam whore during the way.
I was getting a bit restless. I thought we could complete the whole trial in like.. 1-2 hrs. But 1 hour came and went. We were no where near....
Jungle path.
And we saw some interesting fungus along the way.Alas! The ranger station! I thought we are near.
Act cute. I could not be anymore wrong. Look:
Gosh. Uphill tracks ahead. :SAnd so we continued clmbing....And walking....And sweating....Until finally .... RAAARRHAHAHAHA. I saw the Tree Top Trial marker.
Had to do a victorious pose. The Tree Top bridge is VERY well built. They claimed that no trees or grass was being harmed during their building process. And the bridge's darn steady. Even if there's a hurrican sweeping by the forest, the bridge will still stay unswayed.
Gun Er looking happy.
Man... why did we have this expression? And the view was .... just as what the name of the trial suggest.... full of tree tops.
TreeTops. After some more video taking and cam whore-ing, we made our way down. And again, I thought the journey would be easy and quick. Man, I was wrong again. This time it was worse. We had to walk throught this golf course with the sun above our head. 我又晒出了一件背心. But we are two optimistic people. We entertained ourselves by singing all the oldies from our childhood days. After 100KM of walking (ok lar, maybe only 5 KM) and asking around, we saw cars zooming in the far front of our view. That, must be the expressway! We jumped for joy!Somehow, 不知不觉中, we have actually reached the foot of Kopi Hill. They have some darn huge-assed chinese tombs there. Whenever I took 74 from NJ, I would pass by Kopi Hill. I had always wanted to take a closer look at it. I never dreamt that I would pass by that hill today. Yeah!!!! That's one of the many 收获s I gained today. YEAH!
The sign post I have seen sooo many times from the windows of bus no. 74, but never able to get a close up view before... until today.Labels: Hiking adventures
